Larry, most coin collectors (and certainly all the coin organizations) support countries adopting systems akin to the Treasure Act and Portable Antiquities Scheme, which encourage the reporting of find spots BUT AT THE SAME TIME recognize that collecting is a legitimate activity to be encouraged. Why can't the archaeological community support that instead of trying to legislate coin collecting out of existence? You and your fellows already have quite a backlog of coins to publish.
